Anthea Ong on the Missing Catalyst of Organisational Success at the Mental Health Festival, September, 2023
WorkWell Leaders’ chairperson and founder, Anthea Ong, delivered the keynote address at Intellect’s Mental Health Festival in September, 2023. Her speech touched on mental health as the missing catalyst of organisational success.
Speaking to a diverse audience comprising ~150 senior leaders, HR experts and managers, Anthea spoke on the impacts of psychologically safe workplaces on talent retention, shareholder value, ROI and even planetary health.
She also highlighted WorkWell Leaders as a catalyst working upstream to influence C-Suite level decisions and policies that would eventually trickle downstream. On the need to find creative interventions upstream, Anthea said: “We cannot solve a problem with the same way of thinking that created it in the first place.”
Anthea concluded her speech by inviting leaders and CEOs to participate in a nation-wide pledge campaign to #LeadTogetherForMentalHealth and commit to taking action for employee wellbeing.
