WorkWell Leaders granted Institution of Public Character status
WorkWell Leaders (WWL) has been officially granted Institution of Public Character (IPC)* status as of 6 February 2025, in recognition of its growing role in shaping mentally healthy workplaces across Singapore, in alignment with the National Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy. As approximately 70% of people in Singapore work and spend most of their time working, tackling mental health at the workplace is critical for a healthier society.
WWL takes a unique approach, by working directly with CEOs and leaders as the pivotal change agents for organisation-wide transformation, amidst a growing workforce mental health crisis. Since it’s inception in 2018 as an informal collective of CEOs, WWL has grown to a thriving community of almost 80 large organisations taking care of over 180,000 employees in Singapore and has reached almost 2,000 CEOs and leaders through special dialogues and forums to drive deeper understanding and inspire action.
As WWL continues to expand its impact through the Awards and other initiatives, the IPC status reflects a growing national acceptance that workplace mental health must be a leadership-driven priority. It is heartening to see more leaders joining this movement and recognise the impact wellbeing has on both people and performance.
WorkWell Leaders is proud to be driving this change together with our Board of Directors, Advisory Council, and executive team.
*In Singapore, an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) is a specific status given to registered or exempt charities that are authorized to issue tax-deductible receipts for donations. This status allows donors to claim tax relief for donations to these organizations, benefiting both the donor and the charity.
